Fort Sill
Fort Sill is the home of the Army Field Artillery School and the Air Defense Artillery School, training Army artillerists and air defenders and operating the Fires Center of Excellence. Located near Lawton in southwest Oklahoma, the base is at the edge of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge with excellent hiking among granite boulders and herds of longhorn bison. Oklahoma City is about 90 minutes north for major city amenities, and housing in Lawton is very affordable.
