Fort Novosel
Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker) is the home of Army Aviation and the world's largest helicopter training installation, where virtually every Army aviator earns their wings flying UH-72 Lakotas and UH-60 Black Hawks. Located in the wiregrass region of southeast Alabama near Daleville, the base is about 90 miles southeast of Montgomery and 30 miles north of Dothan.
